Thanksgiving

Is it really right around the corner just a week away? The last 6 months have been crazy. I am so glad Ty will be off and we will be able to spend some time together.

Speaking of Ty and work he got  his Renton transfer! No more 1.5+ hour commute to Everett. Now if corporate would stop being so greedy and just build the 777x in the Northwest like they should all would good.

its been a while

I only have a phone for internet and I rely a lot on the internet to keep me sane because I am home alone with 2 little most of the time. Back to what I was trying to say it is hard to post from my phone. It is also hard to find time when I am chasing my babies and trying to entertain them. Don't forget about cleaning up after them hmm.

So we got a new kitten his name is Blazer he is about 14 weeks now. My phone won't upload a picture.

We got another kitty. He had been abandoned in a dumpster :( But after a week he died. Poor little guy was so little and weak.

I have also been making lots of crafts, trying to stock up on some inventory before the bazaar in November.

I love fall and winter time aka I hate the sun. I am not looking forward to the gloomy weather this year. As the days get shorter and colder I worry about not being able to go out and be active as I have been able to be all summer. It has kept my spirit up. Its going to be a sad dark winter and holiday season.

My baby boy is almost 9 months old and a speed crawler.

Ty is transferring from 747 to 777 it is not the Renton transfr we were hoping for he will still be in Everett. It is a better area and he will get more hours.

Government Shutdown: I don't care who you are or which side you are for (at this point I am calling myself conservative and not with any party). Anyway they need to be locked together until they can come to an agreement and STOP blaming eachother just get it done.

my kitty is missing

Last Saturday night my Buddy snuck out and we haven't seen him since :'( I have worked very hard the last 4 years to keep him away from the predators inthe rual area we live. I wrote a post about him when he was a little guy. Read about him here. He is a big boy and the best cat I have had and I have had a lot. Some cats have come back after being gone for a long timeso there is still some hope but if not there is no closer. I miss him.

My papa passed away last Friday morning after a hard fight against cancer. His doctors belived they cured the cancer but treatment distroyed the little function his heart had left after many heart attacks.. It is hard to think that if he had not had the treatment he might still be with us or even if he had just done the chemo and not the radiation. It was what he want to do though.

It has been almost 5 years since high school graduation!

My Papa updated

My grandpa was given a prognosis of 6 months. It is day to day though. His mind is not here. He is 63 years old and looks like his dad did in his 90's. A few recent pictures on good days.


He got worse as the day went on. He took a nap and a nurse came to check his vitals which were good. I went to help him stand up with my aunt he looked at me and said "who are you" :( later he made a scumner joke about me going to Sumner High (I guess he thinks it is 1964 when he was in high school). I shrugged it off but when my grandma found out she started crying which made me cry.

With both babies I started out over weight. Since Ty and I met 5 years ago I have gained 50lbs (not including pregnancies) I gain around 30lbs during both pregnancies and lost it instantly. With the first I didn't lose anymore after that. Then getting pregnant again a year after she was born didn't help. Brennan is now just over 4 months and I have been thinking about losing weight. I am not looking to be as thin as I was in high school(not that I felt that thin then). I would like to lose 25-30lbs that would get me just below 25 on the body mass index. I think I would feel better in many ways, health wise, image wise, physically, and emotionally.


I have been try to walk 2 miles at least twice a week. I am now in my second week of Jillian Micheal's upside down abs.

In the last 3 weeks I have lost 8lbs!

Brennan is still nursing and that is a little above the recommended weight lose while nursing but I am being healthy. I am making sure I am eating enough for him but not over eating (I tend to binge eat). Eating 6 meals is really helping and that is how Allyson eats anyway so I eat when she does. Lots of water is important while nursing. I haven't been keeping junk snacks around either.

This is Mickey the top picture is from the ad I found for him. He is a 10 month old golden retriever mix. Although he has a lot of energy he is very obedient and great with the kids!

Ty has been in 2 accidents since we moved :( In March he got caught in a snow storm near the Boeing freeway, spun a few times and went in the ditch luckily didn't hit anyone. A few days ago he hit a kitchen cabinet that was on the freeway :( the car goes into the shop next Tuesday.

Mother

Sunday I was writing my thoughts on mothers day. something about how I Struggle with negative thoughts around mothers day but my mother leaving me has taught me a lot. I know what choices not to make so my life doesn't go in the direction hers has. It disappeared so I guess it was something that shouldn't have been posted.

My sister said it best: "I find it strange how relationships can come or go. They say the bond between a mother and child could never be stronger but I find that statement to be misguided. The subject of “mother” shouldn’t be the woman who carried and then gave birth after nine months; the “mother” is whoever had the largest impact in being raised. It’s the person who stood by every decision that was made but also supplied hints along the way in which direction to travel. As Sherrilyn Kenyon wrote “We have three kinds of family. Those we are born to, those who are born to use and those who we let into our hearts."

I am so thankful for my grandma and grandpa for taking me. Although my cousin in back in her daughters life my grandma is now on her 4th set of kids, 3 of her own, 2 step kids, myself and cousin, and now a great granddaughter.

It has been 3 months since I posted last I thought it was time for an update. I think i am going to try to update more often, something like a journal/record of the quirky things my babies do.

Brennan is 3 months old, Allyson just had her 2nd birthday, and we just got back from a night at the Great Wolf Lodge.

After pancakes for breakfast we took Allyson to Decoursey Park. To see the ducks and play on the swings and slides. On Saturday we had some family over for dinner.  I decorated with Minnie Mouse ears. I made these awesome dinner rolls to use as buns for chicken sandwiches. We had just bought 40 lbs of chicken from Zaycon Foods. It is great chicken.

Our trip to the Lodge was a late birthday present for me a late anniversary trip and for Allyson's birthday. Ty's mom and sister also went. Every room was booked so it was packed for a Sunday night. Allyson stayed up until 11:30pm to tired to sleep. Brennan slept in until 10am so it worked. It took Allyson a while to warm up to the water. The little kid pool which has a zero depth entry and a max of 18inch was great. My MIL sat with the babies while we went on the big slides and in the wave pool. I got my aquaphobic little girl to walk into the wave pool while it was calm until her life jacket started to float and bother her. Although we could stay until 9pm we had to leave around 3 because Ty had to work Monday night. I am not sure it was worth it but we had fun!
